Recently, Bo Malmström, salesman at Stig Wahlström Hydraulik, visited our client OXE Marine. During the visit to Skälderviken in northwestern Skåne, he got to test drive boats (200 hp and 300 hp) where our hydraulic block is part of the engine.
OXE Marine was founded in 2012 and is active in the marine sector. In 2016, the company launched OXE Diesel, the world's first diesel engine for outboards in the higher power levels. The company's patented solutions for power transmission from engine to propeller, have led to great demand for its unique engines worldwide.
- We met OXE Marine already in 2011 when we exhibited at the fair Elmia Subcontractor. They then had an idea to manufacture a diesel-powered outboard engine with stainless steel parts. After the fair, I visited them in Ängelholm and introduced ourselves at Stig Wahlström Hydraulik. A few months later this led to us starting to look more in-depth at the block, says Bo.
A collaboration that works well all the way
OXE Diesel is very pleased with the result.
- We are very satisfied with Stig Wahlström Hydraulik. We like the products and it is a collaboration that works well all the way. They are quick to give feedback and show a true commitment and interest in solving problems in a good way, says Anders Brändström, Senior Sourcing Category Manager at OXE Marine.
Bo also thinks that it is a collaboration that works well from both sides:
- The next step is that we will deliver the hydraulic pump to their engines.
OXE Marine is driven by the ambition to transform the outboard engine for a more sustainable and ecologically positive marine environment. With OXE Diesel, the company has succeeded in setting new standards for sustainability, efficiency and low emissions for outboard engines between 125 and 200 hp. This year, a more powerful OXE Diesel engine with 300 hp will also be launched.
